I just read Shanrick's blog before writing mine so I'll try to not to just replay everything that happened as well as what she said. But I will say that I didn't know about the Jordan/Jeff/Shelly fight and believe that CBS made a strategic move not to show us that (not wanting to change viewers minds yet of Shelly's alliance to Jeff and Jordan because she has never talked about not wanting to be aligned)...and CBS, I call shenanigans on you for not making reality tv "real". If you'd stop showing Rachel crying, then you would have more time for Shelly.
First things first, Kahlia became head of household. This made me very happy as it's the first time a newbie is in power, and let me say Dani is the ONLY one okay (if not ecstatic) about this...Rachel, Jeff, and Jordan are all in bad moods and I find it funny because they aren't bragging around anymore acting like King and Queen Bees (not that Jordan brags, but she definitely showed a DEFENSIVE mood tonight).
I kind of was hoping that Rachel would become more likable without horrible Brendon around but honestly she was absolutely pathetic...and coming to grovel to Kahlia was pathetic. I loved it when Kahlia talked about eating humble pie "homegirl"... Kahlia used to be so annoying but they are really editing her way better now. I absolutely did not believe Rachel when she said she respected Kahlia as a player. Kahlia has been whining and crying for most of the season and then all of a sudden just started the game...Rachel calls her a huge floater, why whould she respect her. LIES!
Shelly's "race" conversation with Kahlia was so strange. It reminded me of when Lawon taught Shelly about gay people. Why is Shelly so naive? Or as Shanrick said, they are editing Shelly in a way to make her like Jordan and that she is "learning" about different types of people. Can we actually have a conversation about the fact that Shelly isn't saying anything about being a lesbian...is it wrong for me to think that she is and that she raises her daughter with another woman? Is she just very butch but straight? Am I being insensitive for bringing this up time and time again. I'm not trying to be mean...I'm a fan of lesbians but it's hard that Shelly is playing the role of a straight woman and then walking around in those outfits with that swaggery talking the way she does...maybe I should just stop before I say too much...we are all on a spectrum of feminity and masculinity.
FOOD COMPETITION
As you all know, I find food competitions a waste of time, but I will say that everyone looked so good. Lawon was dressed by Big Brother so he looked really nice and normal and Shelly looked good too. Jordan looked absolutely beautiful, though.
HOH
wow, there was a lot of drama.
As you all know I think Shelly's game play is almost as dirty as that mean african american woman who got to the semi finals in season 3....but she is playing an AWESOME game...teaming up with Kahlia for safety but staying with Jordan and Jeff is sooo smart. it's funny, I totally want her to get caught and sent home but I also respect the malicious game she is playing..and that is how she differs from that evil woman of Season 2.
I'm not sure what Kahlia is thinking...is she doing what Daniele wants or not...her idea of putting Jeff up as a pawn is just okay to me...but obviously it backfired when Jordan and Jeff flipped out about it, understandably. I'm not sure what I would have done in Kahlia's position but honestly Jeff telling the HOH that he is out to get her in the future was NOT SMART. At that point, I would have said - keep Rachel and send Jeff home. He is a strong player but he shot himself in the foot tonight. I actually want to see Kahlia beat Jeff in this game, just for that!
I kind of did think Kahlia would choose someone else to help her in the game but she sticked to her guns and went for Rachel and Jeff...hmm. Funny how outspoken Jordan is being. I guess my only problem with Jordan right now is that we aren't playing duos anymore and yet Jordan is still acting like they are...Jordan, you have to beat Jeff to win...are you planning on going to the final two and losing so that Jeff can win this time...stop making the game personal, Jordan.
FINALLY - omg Rachel! You can't stand not being the star, so now you are stalking and antagonizing Daniele. CRAZY!
and again CBS is editing Shelly out of the show...Shelly (in live feeds) often gives Rachel advice on acting appropriately in public setting (wearing underwear, not showing off, not being so bitchy) and even though they showed them talking, they never explain that Shelly is the mother figure in the house.
who knows, Shelly is leading this game right now....
I don't think shelly is playing an evil game at all! If she were playing a evil/dirty game her DR's would be mean but she is nice and sweet in them all. I think she is playing an awesome game so far, she is going to need to step it up and win a comp soon or she will never get out of the "floater" category. The best thing about Shelly's game is what they are editing out of her "story". Shelly is so the mother of the house, everyone now talks about how they can't trust Shelly but everybody still goes to her and tells her EVERYTHING!
